STATISTICS OF CHINA'S PLYWOOD PRODUCTION CAPACITY IN 2022
The annual production capacity of plywood products exceeds 10 million cubic meters in 5 provinces, autonomous regions and 5 prefectures. Shandong province now has more than 3,700 enterprises producing plywood products, with a total production capacity of about 56.5 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 25.5% of the total production capacity of the country, continuing to rank first in China. The number of plywood products enterprises in Linyi has slightly decreased, but the production capacity has further increased to 39.8 million cubic meters per year, accounting for about 70.4% of the province, keeping the position of the largest plywood products production base in Shandong province and even in China.
There are more than 1,620 enterprises producing plywood products in Guangxi District, with a total production capacity of about 45 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 20.3% of the national total production capacity, ranking second in China. Guigang is still the largest plywood production base in south China, with a total production capacity of 18.5 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 41.1% of the whole region.
There are more than 1,980 enterprises producing plywood products in Jiangsu province, with a total production capacity of about 33.4 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 15.0% of the national total production capacity, ranking third in China. The production capacity of Xuzhou is about 14.8 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 44.3% of the province. The production capacity of Suqian city is about 13 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 38.9% of the province.
There are more than 760 enterprises producing plywood products in Hebei province, with a total production capacity of 14.5 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 6.5% of the national total production capacity, ranking fourth in China. The production capacity of Langfang city is about 12.6 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 86.9% of the province.
There are more than 700 enterprises producing plywood products in Anhui province, with a total production capacity of 13 million cubic meters per year, accounting for 5.9% of the country's total production capacity, ranking fifth in China.
At the beginning of 2022, there were more than 2,400 plywood production enterprises under construction in China, with a combined production capacity of about 33.6 million cubic meters per year. In addition to Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Qinghai province and Tibet Autonomous Region, there were plywood production enterprises under construction in the other 25 provinces and autonomous regions. It is estimated that the total production capacity of plywood products in China will be close to 230 million cubic meters per year by the end of 2022. The production capacity of polyurethane adhesives, soybean protein adhesives, starch based adhesives, lignin adhesives, thermoplastic resin film and other aldehyde-free plywood products has further increased.
